Computer dyno for a stroked 366?

I'm a torque fiend -- grew up driving poppin' johnnies and 292 Chevy "stove bolt sixes" so I'm not interested in revving higher than 4000. It would be my daily driver, including hauling a two-horse trailer, etc.

I think I'd like to put a 4.5" stroke crank in a 366 block -- just wondering what the computers say would happen if I left the rest stock?

Any inexpensive changes that would make more torque?

    anybody done anything like this???

yes on the 427 tall deck 41/2 stroke the 366 will need custom pistons would be better to find a 427 tall deck the one i did was for a air boat and made all the power before 6500 rpm i work on this a bit for you with the 4.500 crank in the 366 CR 10.50 Oports bowl work 2.300 intake and 1.900 ex 529 intake 503 ex lsa108 TQ535 at 4000 HP 516 at 5500 you could run 2.250 in and 1.880 valves and i think it you would be ok

That would certainly move those hosses up that hill

What kind of numbers do you get for 2000 or so rpm?

    Many thanks (I think)

Now I've gotta get off my computer and start putting things together!

the 454 can not swing a 41/2 crank in a short deck?some said they did it but i would not .all the stuff i work on is 4.600 on the bores to 4.500 and 4.310 so here are some things to think about if this gets past paper . valves may not work with the very small bore or the tops of the deck may need to be eyebrowd for the bigger valves not to big of a deal . the crank will need some room you may have good luck with a I beam rod 400 longer and try not to cut out much of the block. i run a rod thru the top of the block and mark it when it hits bottom this tells me how thick the block is at the bottom i take the rod out and use it to mark the bottom of the pistons wall .so you know were to stop or hit water the milodon pan 30950 will work for the 4 1/2 stroke crank with steel rods .you will need a set of custom pistons for this $$ but this can all be done and i would run a roller cam in it.
