Hidebinder, if you work at Douglas (Boeing now) as I suspect that you do get some of the sfuff that is used on the outside of skin that is used to seal leaks. That stuff is practically impervious to all chemicals known to man. I worked out there in the late '60's and didn't use gaskets on the oil pan or the valve covers and they didn't leak. Just a couple of quarter inch beads along the inner and outer edges will do the trick.Ken Thomas
