Doug Herbert performance parts has a lot of kits for any engine you would like and pritty good prices I might add. There web site dosent have the rotating assemblies listed but there magizine has lots of kits. I am just geting into big blocks but from what I have seen It is not that hard to build a 550hp torque monster. Jegs I pritty good to.joe bogger

i just need some build specs and parts list, i was think of going with some edelbrock heads, a 830 holley, some hedman 2x3 headers,a forged crank, and i was thinkin of putting in either some H rods, arp bolts everwhere, . i need help with the cam and the pistons. im looking for 10.1 comp. so do any of you guys have any previous builds simular? or any that will get these power results?

yes i have but you do not need the h beam rods .stock rods with arp will work up to that. and you will need big tube headers and on the cam i would run a roller soild or hyd. if buying a steel crank why not go up to a 496 and you will easly get you 550 hpwith 10 to1 cr i use srp pistons

this would have alot to do with rpm you want to run it to .and if you will drive it at low speed alot street car? or more of a drag car

well its for a street engine. i thinkin of redlining this engine at 6k rpm, so probally middle rpm, like anywhere from 3k rpm on.. if that helps any. i want power not too low but not to high , so in the middle.

PAT sounds like you'v done this a time or to,Hay MAGEMAN good choice on the Aluminum Heads you will loose a lot of weight staying away from the cast heads.I would go with the BRODIX Heads instead of EDELBROCK but thats just my preferance.I went to BBL longgggggg time ago wont tell all my secrets but will tell you get the RECTANGLE-PORTS not the OVAL-PORTS..By the way pat good advice to MAGEMAN.
