    header suggestion.

    I have a 454 slightly bored over, making roughly 450/ 550 hp & Tq.

It is in a 1970 Nova, with power steering - I have been told by mechanic dropping in this engine that no header will fit and that 1 7/8" headers are big enough.

Are there any suggestions for the correct size header primary and collector?

    thanks
(dropping in this engine has turned into the biggest hassle ever, any help is so greatly appreciated)

i like 2inch for some thing 36 long primaries that 450 and 3 .1/2 collector if you run 3. 1/2 ex. 1.7/8 is ok . this is not big at all for a big block chevy. to make them run you need to unplug it .so i wound try to keep away from the small tub headers. on the engine you drop it down? why?

thanks .you said dropping the engine . OK i see putting the engine in the car was alot of work. i was thinking you put the engine lower in the car frame i have built headers for chevys 2 with big blocks in them now them are a pain in the butt . you can get headers for this same sub as the camaro big block car
