Well I hope this doesnt post a dozen times. I dont believe any difference in power between the two engines you mentioned will even be noticable. I wouldnt push it more than 10/1 on the compression ratio. Cam will depend on how streetable you want it to be. I would go with a roller, either hyd. or solid. Likely should be anywhere from 240 to 255 at .050 intake, and 248 to 262 or so on the exhaust. Lift will probably fall around .648 to .680 depending on the cam. 110 LSA is the most common, and a good choice. Others may prefer something else, we'll see what else is suggested. John

Pat do you have any experience with the hyd. roller cams?I have a customer that wants to use one in a bracket car.Lunati claims this cam will go to 7,200 with no problems. What are your thoughts on this amount of rpm for a bracket car every weekend?

How much torque will I lose going from a 511cid tall deck to a 513cid low deck?

What cam profile and compression ratio should I use for a good street motor planning on 500+ hp?[/QUOT i could work a cam up what rpm will you be at i would work a round 9to5 cr max with iron head if you are runing cheap fuel roller hyd cam ?
