so would it be better to go with a 4.500 stroke and 6.535 rod or am i going to have trouble fitting that in my 427T block, this will be the second engine i've rebuilt, the first was an international 345ci(stock rebuild), i want a 500+ci engine but if it's easier to build a 496 and the cost is less, i'll settle for that, what do you think?

If you want a 10.20 block go after-market and build a 598/632.

I mildy proted a set of mopar "j" heads, i got a little to happy with the grinder and ran in to one of the valve cover bolt holes, so i'd say i'm not the best with a grinder, i'd like to use the 4.375 crank and .060 over 510ci, i don't want to go much bigger, should i use the 6.385 rod with that insted of the 6.535 and maybe shave the deck, 10.20-2.1875-6.385-.025=1.6025 comp height

well that is not a shelf pistons. a 1.645 is.it will not work with out working off the top deck off the pistons on a mill. so you are running customs .you could use the 6.535 rods that is up to youLast edited by pat mccarthy; 11-04-2006 at 03:29 PM.
A skip is a huge crate with chains on it at all four corners, the only way I know to shift it is to hire a Hiab. A Hiab is a small crane mounted at either end of a truck's tray...some pick up at...
