    BB cranks

Do not know much about BB chevys. I found a 65 or so Bus with a BB. I figure its a 366 or whatever that oddball BB is. It does have a 4 bolt block with a steel crank. it is missing 1 head, intake and oil pan. Looks like the bore is smaller than a 350. My question is, is this crank good for anything else? can it be used in any other BB such as the 396 - 454, are they different strokes than the other BB?

Looked around on the net and found somthing that says this crank has a 3.76" stroke, same as a 396-402-427. So does that mean this crank will fit those blocks? does it have the same journal size?

a 366 396 402 427 cranks are the same stroke the 366 and 427 tall deck cranks will work in any big block if you want a 3.76 crank .the new one pice tall deck 427 crank will not fit in a old block. mark4 . but a old crank two pice rear seal will fit in a new block with a seal adpater new block mark5-6 .the crank will need to be balanced if out of the tall deck
