    Question BBC ignition wires?

What are the BEST ignition wires that I can possibly run on a BBC which will be running a HEI unit and a MSD-6AL? What size of wires and I am hoping they make them in a deeper blue color as opposed to red, yellow, and etc? Hopefully they will be able to withstand the heat in a small engine compartment & being next to coated headers also. Thanks for your advice ahead of time!

I've never had trouble with my MSD 8.5mm wires (BBC 402) but I thinik they only come black or red. I see alot of folks running Taylor wires with MSD and they have many colors available. You'll want at least 8mm wires for that MSD ignition (spring for the bigger 8.5mm ones)

You want to make sure it's a helically wound core wire for HEI/MSD not a solid core wire.

300+ accel universal8.8 black kit is what i have used on many engines no wires can be setting on the headers or like the heat. you need to spend some time and routing them with looms .that will keep your wires happy

I bought a set of Crane 8.5 wires, less resistance than the MSD wires.

I have used the Accel Amour wires before and noticed a pretty light show under the hood.
I vote for Taylor Volt 50 wires my second choice would be a set of the MSD 8.5's.

I agree with Eric, Taylor would be my choice. They're not as expensive as some of the top brands and IMHO they are 300% better than anything Accel makes.
