There are some that would say put on a 750 but that is based on 100% V.E.
    I.M.O,it looks good.
I think you have a good 335-350 hp.
I would run a 3.55-3.73 gear and a 2,000 -2,200 stall to get it launch a little better.
I use to go to school with a girl named "Facemelter" but I'll bet they called her that for some other reason.

yeah i bet it was for a different reason lol. in my truck I currently have 4.10's in the rear with a detroit locker. next on my list is the suspension work, as well as dropping the BBC in the truck.
i figured, id go with a slightly lower duration cam, get some monster torque going, should be fun

with the info you gave, and i will agree with mr. erikson it is under carbuarated with the 650 carb, so desktopped with the 650 is 425 hp, 445 tq, and with a 750 carb, 440 hp, 451 tq.

In this smallest of the big block Chevys, I'd back off one more step on the cam if it is to be a street driven truck. The dcr and cranking pressure numbers look better with the XE256 cam, 212/218, 0.480"/0.486". Easier on the valve springs too.

i went to holley and put my info in, they ask how many cubes you have, and a bunch of other stuff, brakes, electric, or manual choke, etc. And they reccomened a 650. What do you guys think, maybe a 700???? 750?
The 572 has 620 HP and runs a 850 demon.

the same info as above but with this cam instead, and run it with the 650 first, and then try the 750 carb. Thanks!
