    have you ever built a engine this big? my price on a kit is a bit better from my supplier they started selling kits ? i do not sell any thing in a kit form short block .less it is a short block assemble. there is many thing that i do when putting the short block together the that make them last that you will not get that with the kit .i have built engines that guys got in a kit and had to do tune up work on the parts and bearings and more (machine work)that did not have any oil clearances and rod s and mains were not were i like them or rods were not pin fitted and did not like the hone job you get what you pay for? good luck
