Need Help!!! 454 head
I just bought a Chevy II that had a 454 tall deck before but with-out the motor in it, so I bouth a 454 short deck since I didn't know that originally it was a tall deck so my headers don't fit. Someone can help me find aluminium heads that have .400 more height so I can fit my motor in! I am looking for a part number or anything that can help me.
Thanks,
Dom

it would be better to make or cut to fit the headers you have .then buy heads a lot of heads dart world have a rised ex ports but that still may not help the tall deck block moves up and out. do you know if the tall deck had rised port you would need much more then 400

My problem is that the headers as you can imagine are molded in the fendermeaning real tuff to modify, my speedshop told me that there is heads made for that but I need to find it, they are .400 raise so its supposed to be a perfect fit, anyway, I was going for Aluminium heads! Thanks for the help brothers

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
