    is this worth it?

found a 454 block for $350. haven't called yet so i don't have much info or #'s. gonna call tomorrow. it's says it's new (riiiiiiiiight ) heavy factory casting, high performance block. won't believe it till i call and go see it. i know it depends on what gen, 2 or 4 bolt, tall or standard deck. what do ya think.

I checked the local yards for a block, just to use for chassis set up . I told them it doesn't even have to be useable. I just need the bolt holes to line up mounts, etc. There were none to be found, even junk ones. I finally found a foam mock up engine on EBAY. Will be going with an aftermarket block when I build the engine. Guess the big block is getting as old as me!

Actually, what you could do is, take said mopars, melt them down, and make GM logos out of them. do you have any idea what kind of a market there is for custom logos? The first one should be "This is the only use I could find for Mopar steel on my Chevy"
