I would Use Cenpenco Oil for Breakin. It got more Zinc than any other oil that I found. My Next pick on oil with lot of zinc is Brad Penn Racing Oil. www.bradpennracing.com Or www.CenPeCoSales.comLast edited by Racecar100; 07-20-2007 at 03:53 PM.

Pat...This was disscussed a few weeks ago on another forum. It's not gone and it's being re packaged and sold under the AC Delco label. AC Part # 10-106. See us Ford guys do use some GM products!! Now what does need to be found out is if it's the same exact formula? That is my big question.

Here's a link to the AC Delco site; http://www.acdelco.com/html/pi_vehcare_lub.htm
Use the drop down menu, choose EOS assembly lubricant to get to 10-106. In the description it doesn't give any indication as to the ZNDP (which is the additive that drives the desire for this type material additive), but it does say it isn't intended as a lubricant additive. It could be that it doesn't stay in suspension in it's current formulation.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Rotella has also been re formulated with lower zinc content. It used to carry a diesel CI-4 rating. Now has a CJ-4 rating. Try Valvoline VR1 racing oil. 10w-30, 20w-50 and a straight 30w are available. Very good zinc content. Look for the bottles that say "not for street use". Thats the good stuff...LOL.

AutoZone here still has Coastal 15w40 in a CI-4 rating. I buy a gallon every time in town, to stock up. It is in the 1 gallon size. In reading up on the subject Coastal appears to be a fine oil.305 ci Y-block in 46 1/2 ton

if your looking for a syn oil the purple max cycle is the best...has the highest zddp pack of any oil out there. i have have alot of oil tested and so far nothing is even close to the purples max cycle. i have had brad penn, joe gibbs, m1,redline and many many others tested after some hard racing and the data i got back was a eye opener. hope this helps or give you something you can use..
