have gone out to 513 cid 4.375 crank and 4.320 bore this engine really works good !.. this is a two bolt block. i do not get to work up about if it a two or four bolt have built alot of two bolts just stud the bottom end and go parts the same cost as a 496 ..pistons were self srp i rework a bit .this engine is not running a hyd roller cam but a soild roller i had custom ground could a 496 make as much hp it may bigger engine do not allways make more hp but if done right make TQ the acid test would be both engine built the same way and dyno them .that will never happen. i would have to build two engine$$$ and dyno time$$$Last edited by pat mccarthy; 10-16-2007 at 08:15 AM.

Performance wise with all things being equal how does the 513 cid against a 496 cid if you are running the same hyd roller cam and the same heads? Is there much cost difference between these two builds? I didn't know if gottabuild1 had considered this option.
