Edelbrock vs. GM Performance Heads
I am thinking of buying the Edelbrock power package for my 502. However, I notice that GM Performance has a similar head to the Edelbrock.
Are these heads comparable? Are they the same?
Any info appreciated!

My understanding is that they are very similar, and in fact Edelbrock is making them for GM-the primary difference is that the GM Heads have a 2.25" Intake, the edelbrock's have a 2.19"-

I have heard the same thing! Edelbrock is making the GM heads.
Can anyone confirm this?
I work at a GM dealership and can get a nice discount on the heads so I am thinking of putting my own "power pack" together based on the Edelbrock packages.
Has anyone seen a flow chart of the GM or Edelbrock heads?

the edelbrock and gm heads are about the same head the old 861/862 pro stock bow tie head is the same as the victor head that been rework many times by edelbrock and the 502/502 hp heads are the same as the edelbrock oval performer rpm heads but the 502/502 hp has a 2.250 valve and i have cut out the gm#12363399 2.190 intake to 2.250 intake that would be the same as GM #12363390 502/502 hp headLast edited by pat mccarthy; 02-25-2008 at 06:51 PM.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
