On the subject of BBC headers.......
I have a 97 S-10. I just bought a really nice 454. So ya know what Im thinking ! Just wondering how hard it is to weld up a set of headers for this truck. I just need fenderwalls, and I'm not looking to set the NHRA low et record, so 1 3/4" should do it (I think). Buying a set is gonna be hard to find and expensive, So any help here would be great. Thanks guys. BUT.... if anyone has knowledge of a set for sale...let me know!"oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

nope just made headers for the s10 for a small block 1 7/8 yep you will have to run two tubes in the frame and to tubes on the outside of the frame.you will have to fab up a new trans cross over and at a full lock turn the out side tubes may rub .the steering shaft and the starter will give you abit of trouble i loop one tub around the steering you will lose the plastic cover and had to remove the shaft for on and off work if you needed the header out out of the way .they would be slip fit i group them so i only split the header in two so i do not have 8 loose tubes help s with putting them back on the carLast edited by pat mccarthy; 04-30-2008 at 02:55 AM.

I just built a set for an 85` s-10 ...496" glide ....... all of the tubes ran over the frame and exit behind the front tire ......2" tubes and 3 1/2 " collector ..... ran a new steering shaft , but that gets rid of the junk rag joint anyway ..........." SEE YA at the FINISH LINE " ! ........ratso

3 or 3 1/2 small rim . well you do what you have to.i try not to run them to close to the fire wall did some 2 1/4 tubes were away from the wall guy said his feet did get warm but 2inch tube is not to hard to work with. s10 would not be much fun but not as much fun as a chevy II with a stock front end with a bbc 9.800 deck block . i still would run two tubes inside the frame and two outIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
