Fuel pump help
Getting ready to fire up and am new to bb. Is there a fuel pump mounting plate for mech. pump? And I guess the pushrod goes in the hole below fp provision?

On older blocks, yes. On Gen VI blocks, no. You also need to make sure the cam has a lobe for actuating the mech fuel pump. Some newwer cams do not have this lobe or it is not offset so will not provide rod displacement.

Thanks for the info Kitz. Guess I just install pushrod and then a plug. It's a Mark lV block 496 for sons' mud truck. Hope to make him grin when he stomps on it.
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
