    Dip 'em in motor oil, install and go.

    Maybe you're talking about this text from the article:

    "Making It Run: The start-up and break-in of the new engine went smoothly."

    If that's what's concerning you, dismiss it from your mind. All they mean is that they ran the motor up to make sure everything was happy together internally and to get a little time on the rings/cylinders.
