The question is needs the roller cam break in or not?

Nope...but I think my monitor needs to be replaced after that large font.
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

Dip 'em in motor oil, install and go.

Maybe you're talking about this text from the article:

"Making It Run: The start-up and break-in of the new engine went smoothly."

If that's what's concerning you, dismiss it from your mind. All they mean is that they ran the motor up to make sure everything was happy together internally and to get a little time on the rings/cylinders.

I do believe that Puerto la Cruz is the name of a northern Venezuelan city (and sea port), in the state of Anzoátegui.

what you want to do this wash out the roller lifters with thinner and blow them dry and then soak them in 40 wt race oil over nigth before sticking them in the engine there is no break in on the lifters but there is on valve spring before you rev the shnit out of it let it get up to running temp and cool down 3 or 4 times at a idle before for you give it hell

^^^ yes... thanks Pat... I did not know about the spring break in and I think that cost me a spring this summer after replacing them all after my little lifter mishap... now I know what to do next time.
