Are all IV Big Blocks the same....

Are all IV Big Blocks the same block?

can a 396,402,427 be bored and stroked to a 454?

or is the 396 and 402 limited to a 0.100" overbore like the 427 and 454?
    had a rebuilt 355SB chevy
    it lasted 42,000km
    Got another rebuilt 355SB
    it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.

I dont think you can change them that much. I do know that you can change a 396 into a 402 just by boring it out a little.
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

All but the 402 can safely go 0.70 over, the 402 is a 0.30 over 396, personally I would'nt go 0.100 unless it was to resleeve
