    cast iron intake

Did Chevy ever build a performance 4bbl intake for the big block made of cast iron? I have a project to build that requires all cast iron blk, heads, and intake. If they built one, was it a spread bore or square? Be nice if it's a square bore. Appreciate any help I can get.

Pat...Thanks for the repy. You state " the big O" I'm assuming oval port? Are there different size oval port intakes? I have a set of oval port heads we intended to use if possible, so your info works from that standpoint. Never really messed with stock iron, so this is all new to me. Thanks again.

I actually have one sitting in my basement. Took it off my vette 25+years ago-and the front end lifted up an inch!!!

    It's a hi-rise Q-jet set up-oval port. The casting number looks to be 6833948.
