Which Block
I have two 454 blocks to choose from.. Both will need the same as far as machining and prep. They are both standard two bolt mains now. One is a 1973 and the other a 1977. Were there any changes in the two years which would make one better then the other.

Yea been there done that but really dont give that much info on the two. According to that site the two blocks are the same other then year. I'm sure they are the same but figured I would ask just in case one might have better something?????

the better block would be the one in the best shape. i used many over the years .i never seen any dif i never look at the years on 454 two pic main seal blocks. i look at the casting and if it seen a hard lifeLast edited by pat mccarthy; 04-16-2009 at 02:06 AM.
