502 Right Carb ?
I recently bought a 84 Camaro with a zz502 in it. It is set up as a bracket car and will never see the street. The car sat for 4 years and we now have used it on 6 outings and has been a blast. It only has a Holley 750 double pumper on it now and seems to need to be replaced. I am on a pretty skimpy budget as I`m not working at the moment. Any ideas out their ? Car is Auto, with 430 Rear end and weighs 3200 empty.

850dp is what comes with the crate motor. Had one on mine with a 700r4 and 3:73 gears, worked great. The 750 will work, but not to the potential the 502 has.God, guns, cars and 1 wife, I would say I have it all.

Why do you say the carb needs to be replaced?

It just seems to have a little burb at low rpm we took the float bowl off cleaned it up adjusted the floats and it still has same problem. It has the power valve removed and plugged and the car sat for 4 years. I`m really just lookinfg for better et,s and thought a bigger carb would work better than a 750 since the 502 came with I believe a 870

Our drag cars are Fords, though cubes are the same and carb requirements are going to be very similar.... On one, we run an 850 DP that was built and flowed by Vindicator Performance to flow 930 CFM and on the other we run a 1050 Dominator with the mods necessary to run E-90.... Both cars run 9.90's. Which carb is better???? About the same, though acutally the Dominator cost a bit less!!!! Think if I were you, I'd be all over Dobb's offer!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

That offer was made back in September of 09. I think that if he didn't take advantage of it then it is probably gone by now.Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
