Need help on Tall Deck 427
Hello,
Has anyone or does anyone know if this combo will work?
Tall deck 427
Deck 10.20
bore 4.310
Stroke 4.250
Rod 6.800
Pistons compression height 1.270 -3cc 8.7:1
118cc Heads
Math says it will work but will the rods clear OK? Thanks for any help or commits. I have this stuff taking up space so I thought I might try and build a 496.Last edited by cty57892; 10-18-2009 at 12:10 PM.

the block may need some work for the rods to swing thru some of the older block s are not cut out for much more then the 3.760 crank . some of the last IV blocks GM made before the V blocks had the casting open up like a 454 crank case and a 4 1/2 crank will just about drop in with not much work with H beam rods will help or any rod with short cap screws boltsLast edited by pat mccarthy; 10-18-2009 at 10:24 PM.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
