    yella terra rockers

Anyone had any experience of the Yella Terra rockers? I suppose you could say they are a "semi shaft" type of rocker. One good thing (from my point of view) is that it looks like they will fit under the factory valve covers (454 Mk IV).

well they sell them under PBM .i have look at there rocker shaft for the bbc .the stock stud rocker s work very well and with a 5/16 gasket will clear with a crane gold rockers @ 620 + lift .if that why your looking at a set .i never used a set for a customers engine .i would look at T@D or jesel .or crower now make a shaft rocker. why do you think the shaft is that much better ? for the money there not that much better on lower spring lbs when you put a roller rocker on a stud you have a semi shaft rocker .now if you going to run well over 800 open like the springs i just put on a set of bbc heads and 380 on the seat stud will just not take the load then its a T&D or the others i listed

What I like is that they are adjusted on the pushrod cup at the end of the rocker instead of that big high poly-lock sticking up thru the middle of the rocker on the end of the stud. Also, the pedestal design looks even more rigid that a stud, though I'm not using very high pressures (155/377). It seems they will fir under my stock valve covers, and they are a LOT cheaper than the true shaft rockers by Jesel, Crower, T&D etc.

but like i said go back and read post 2 your stock stuff will work fine. it will fit under you short valve covers. it s not like i never have done it you are thinking you can adjust on the push rod side this maybe true as well as the same as a T&D .jesel . crower . ETC ....BUT...... your going to have to work your mild lift out to get the right push rods as there a good chance..THEY WILL NOT..... be the same as that you have now for size. the adjust is about good for no more then a turn or so. not for fixing bad geometry. i know there cheaper then others shaft set ups .but whats cheaper is studs. i have had many shaft sets new and used . i have car s that run in the mild 8s and 9s with studs and roller rockers. cars .truck.boats. that run in water .mud.dirt. snow any thing you can think of i built or help with the builds. studs will work fine were they do not work good at is very hi spring LBS like 340+ and open 1255 LBS.i am sure there is guys running faster with stock bbc stud mount rockers but .i know this first hand with the engines i build running much more spring at hi RPMs sounds like want a set so you should have a set. i am just saying for the money and your time getting them set up your stud rockers are more then fine. good luck
