    1997 454 like the old 468 better

     



    I recently picked up a 1997 GM 3/4ton 7.4 and pulled the heads for the broken exhaust manifold bolt thing ,plastic distributor, touch up ports ?, to up date injectors or not , ford injectors are even talked about , I just want a low end stump puller , as good mileage as i can
    The fuel rail # 17096076 stock ? injectors end with 17109596 , have read the poppet style are junk , what have I got myself into Any input on which way to go with this would be appreciated Awesome site a lot of info

    Cam straight up

     



    Wondering if anyone has tried advancing the camshaft 6 Deg , appears that Gm retarded the cam for Exhaust Scavenging , If so will low end and gas milege be helped Thanks for any help
