looking for higher compression in 402

I have a 72 chevy 402 cast 3999290 with 3999241 heads on it. i just picked it up, the guy said everything is stock and im starting the rebuild. From what Ive found, it came with 8.5:1 compression and Im trying to bump it up to around 9.5:1. Not sure what the best way to do that is (head shaving, gaskets...). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
