    rocker arm question

Ok so my class of mud racing changed some rules today allowing me a few more mods. I was previously only allowed to run a hydraulic flat tappet cam, headers, carb and intake. This year the class has allowed a fourth bolt on, which in my case I'm thinking should be mechanical roller lifters. So my question is will stamped steel rockers hold up to the stress of a mechanical roller cam, because roller rockers would tech me out of my class. has anyone here ran steel rockers on a mechanical roller, and for the record I am not thinking of running huge lift numbers.

so my next question pat, is how big is to much for the long slot rockers. I don't need a ton of lift but a guy might as well go almost to the max.

your playing with fire if you think your going to stuff a big roller cam in it some pistons will not take much lift so then your fly cutting the piston and if you go big cam then your looking at more spring lbs the stamped rockers can take 600 or so look at the nitro carbided rocker arms by elgin .how about putting a roller cam in it with roller rockers ? if they say any thing tell them its a gen 6 bbc and it came stock with a roller cam and you swap it over to solid lifters and roller rockers thats 2 mods

that crower 01475 is starting to look appealing, I am curious to know what it would idle like. I still need to make 15" of vac at 800 rpm. I am wondering if a custom grind might be a better alternative.
