it is all going to a machinist tomorrow somebody had mentioned that it could be welded and i wasn't sure how i felt about that. you'd think too much would make it weak. i tried to attach a picture but i'm not sure it worked, or if it will mean anything to you. it doesn't look like it would need much.

a crank can be built up alot if they know what there doing. but you can buy new steel gm crank guy has them on e bay . your not going to weaken a crank by welding.fixing the crank would have to do with were it is for size now if 030/030 i would look for a new or used crank why i say that.. is they may want to give it a fresh turn then you getting to a point were you may not get bearings to grind it if you rebuild it one more time . then i would look to find a better crank.looks like it could be steel ? if it has a big parting line like 3/8 thick then its steel . so if there good at welding cranks if can be rebuilt if not over ground now

Chevygirl were the place for you , we run two classes fast and slow split depending on the car count and times. Weget about 100 cars per race day. we always have lots of first timers from mom in the mini van to grampa on his harley
entry fee is only 35.00 for car and driver , you get lots of runs in and we have lots of fun, really casual come out and learn .

Listen to pat's advise he really knows his big blocks
