BBC Hyd Roller lifters 17120060 or 17120061
What and how can you tell the difference between GM Performance Hyd Roller lifters 17120060 and 171200061.
Did they come in different GM engines ? Like one is more for performance and the other more of a stock type engine lifter??
Maybe one in the ZZ502 and the other come in a 454 low performance.
Thanks for any help.

have to look in the gm power book but the zz502 and HO had re work valving in the lifter never look at them that close and side by side. but i built them with stock lifters and the HO s i am not sure if you going to see anything from the out side of the lifter. if your looking to run lift past the zz502 cam you want a better lifter then stock or HO ones. at full lift with big cam can expose the lifter oiling hole and will make lifter bleed downLast edited by pat mccarthy; 03-02-2011 at 06:39 PM.

If your motor is a Gen VI equipped with hydraulic roller cam, I believe if your are swapping out for one with .570 or greater lift, you will be well served with taller lifters like Crane or others make......because of the oil hole issue

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
