    dipstick retaining bolt

     



    what size is the bolt that secures the oil dipstick to the passenger side of a mark IV big block? i am unable to locate one.

    Try 7/16". Assuming it's a 460, the accessories were hung on the front of the heads with 3/8" and 7/16" - like every other pushrod Ford I ever qwned

    it s a bbc and it could be 3/8 if a mrgasket or older gm it bolts to one of the header bolts or ex manifolds or it many be a 5/16 i think that is on the head side as well as it could bolt to
