Piston and rod set up
Getting started on the pistons and rods, its takin about 1/2 hr for each one, the spring clips are a pain. Whats the trick to putting the spring clips in?Last edited by stinkydidit; 08-02-2011 at 02:19 PM.

round wire or sprial locks ? there not very hard after you done more the 10 or sets you get good at it .whats a pain in the butt is getting them out after there inIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Well got most of the pistons in, broke #2 comp ring on the #6 piston in my cheap ass crapsman ring compressor. Call summit 17.00 bucks for a set for one hole.The wife has me on a diet patch, but I don't think its work'in, she said you have that thing on right? said, ya, on my arm. Bottom end
All pistons in. Ordered the rings from summit friday @ 3 o'clock had them saturday around 3! next oil pump new pan, and button up bottom end.The wife has me on a diet patch, but I don't think its work'in, she said you have that thing on right? said, ya, on my arm. Looking good. Remember there is no hurry when it comes to what your doin.
Lock tight, anti seize, sealer, break end fluid. Take your time.

Thanks! and no rush. Doing a LOT of reading, and rechecking. Just want to get bottom end buttoned up, because it will next year by the time its ready to fire. Nice look'in poncho you have! I did a lot of research too. Hate to put something together and wonder what went wrong. Did this one around 3000 miles ago. Not a problem anywhere....just like it should be. Your car looks like it's gonna be hot.
Did you decide on a color for it?
