    Howards max effort lifters

I am thinking about running these in my next super-stock engine and would like to know a little more about them. Howards web-site says you have to preload them .004" warm, how does one pre load a hydraulic lifter. Also has anyone ran these, any additional noise? thanks in advance, Clinto.
