after much searching I have found the cam I want is discontinued. My choices now seem to be a stock vintage cam (boo) or get a custom grind that sounds stock and hope I don't get claimed. What company has someone (probably oval track guys) dealt with that knows their way around a vacuum rule. any help would be appreciated at this point. thanks Clinto

why dont you post the numbers or the cam before you say boo on a stock cam ? nothing going to sound stock less it is bone stock low HP GM cam . Marine cam will work many copys made by many . GM had a L88 that never idle stock most all cam grinders i deal with can grind you a cam just call one Crower. Erson . isky. Howards .COMP . i know two out of the list that can grind any thing for me .if there not back up. there a very good chance that if you look at just Raw numbers on the cam someone is still making a cam very close to what you wanted in the first place

I tried a bunch of places to fine this cam as I thought it would be a good option, but everywhere I tried they say it is discontinued. Even gm performance parts has discontiunued it, and if they had it they would have wanted 199.00. At this point I think a custom grind is in my future, I just finished emailing comp, crower and Howards. I can't wait to see what they recommend.

how about the valve events and not just the cam number ?

this is a rehash post .or were looking for some new help on this ? try FEDERAL MOGUL CS-1047M.HOWARDS MC-12252-15 this one should work abit better MC-12094 ERSON CAM E120012.OR E12320 .LUNATI.0002I iSKY 270/280 MEGA MILDER GRIND 270-HL . and there is Melling but no book here at home .i know i can get that cam you want as a rebuilder cam for the 330 hp marine cam. theres many smaller cam in all the companys i listed and others that have cams that will work under your vacuum rule no need for a custom
