opinions on new build
Finally yanked the .030 over 454 out of my monte and just finished a 496. I elected to re-use the hyd flat tappet that was used in this block as a 454. Crane Hi intensity 280 - 224/234 .525/.550 114lsa (very small and old for 496). engine is 9.7 to 1 with 781's pocket ported with 2.19/1,88 valves (3/8) perf rpm intake and 800cfm quadrajet.
I intended on doing this build 2 years ago but have been too busy. Was going to throw a howards hyd roller in it 235/241/.620 but bought a 2004r trans instead. I am just anxious to get this in and stabbed it with the previous cam...will upgrade later. My guess is that it will idle smoothly, have plenty of vacuum, tons of low end torque, and will peter out before 5500 rpms- suitible for heavy car. Borderline with small cam and compression.
what are your thoughts on this street build?
I should have it in next week. Any opinions are welcome. Thankyou

Yes, i have seen these specs on other companies who re- boxed them with their name. It worked very well in the 454 that i have.
Also apparently called a "Skip Bin" - https://www.wm.nz/for-home/skip-bin/
