you can put any cam in a big M if you want the mark 6 cam in it .you have to used a step nose cam and mark 6 chain set . if you do not want to use this cam then is a mark 4 and mark 4 timing set . lifter should be taller 300 body lifters if your using a sold roller .if you are going HYD roller your block may come with hold down to use the stock gM lifters. dog bones .Gm hold down /spider. if a big cam i would not use the stock gm lifter. there many that make a long body hyd roller lifter . pins do not just fail off the bat many things play in to how long the pins will last . telling how big of a cam your using will help along with what you going to use the engine for Hippo lifters help

i used many cams this size on the street for 30 years . run good oil like brad pen with zinc use the crower hippo roller lifters can go solid bearing iskys thats a upgrade on a red zone thats a $1200.+ roller if you did not buy the block you could have dart set it up for a bigger lifter use a jesel roller lifters . in the past i just used the crane bulk lifter run them .then pull them before they fail . if you need any thing let me know i have all the parts and heads 335.345 and 355 . and all the parts to build the short block new with a 4.250 or 4.375 crank so 540 to 580
