If you know. please let me knowhad a rebuilt 355SB chevy
it lasted 42,000km
Got another rebuilt 355SB
it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.
slowly building a quicker truck

torque is everything. its the explosive force.
where hp peaks just gives you an idea of where the best torque is made.
low hp= low end torque.
mid hp = mid range torque.
high hp= high range torque.
300hp @3500rpm=450 lbft @3500 (454ci BB)
300hp @5000rpm=315 lbft @5000 (350ci SB)
same hp. but torque is what matters.had a rebuilt 355SB chevy

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
