    Zz572/620 hp?

Hi Guys a first time on the forum. I have a question about my ZZ572/620. What can you do to this engine to squeeze a little more horse power out of it with no power adders ? And when I say a little I mean 100-150. My car is currently being built at BBT FABRICATIONS in Champaign,IL DSC_1153_zpsac2af817.jpgresize.jpg

Welcome to the forum. That's going to be one nice pro-built Camaro, or at least the foundation work appears to be top rate!

What is your definition of "power adders" that you don't want to use? Does that mean nitrous, or does it embrace super charger/turbo charger, too? I'd think that pulling another 100 to 150hp out of a naturally aspirated 572 that's already at 620hp is going to be a challenge, but then I'm not one of the engine guru's around here.

Edit - looks like there is lots of room for more - http://www.proformanceunlimited.com/specs/572_750.html

that a gm 572. not the same crate engine that the links to rspears post that engine a AFR heads and a 4.500 crank so 4.500by 4.500.=572CID your chevy engine has chevy heads and a 4.3/8 crank and a 4.560 bore ?? least they did when they came out .i built many 540to 632 but i have only use some of the 502 zz crate engines and ls6 crate engine and reworked them . on the big stuff i can build a better engine package for the price then Gm crate so many of my customer go with my builds. but i think reworking your engine some i could get to1.3hp per cube and still have it drive easy on the street so 743 hp no power adders less you want some that guy on the video said some thing about big engine not idling ? what the hell? the last engine that made 1200hp could drive it around town just off idle .matter a fact most all my big engine idle quite well with my custom cams in them

    First off, welcome to CHR!

I would encourage you to read and re-read this post and then give Pat a call. Anyone with a checkbook can build gobs of horsepower (your goal is very realistic) but the real key is being able to use what you've built. Pat can help you build the horsepower and have it behave around town and off idle while also being able to transform into a monster when you smash the go-pedal.

Let us know what you do and by all means post pictures - looks like a great build you've got started!

    Regards,
    Glenn
