454 block or...
Bought a 454 that ate the cam, it's basically an LS7 open chamber with 7040PA pistons. Pulled it apart and everything looks new except #6 cylinder is pitted. So I need to have it bored, buy new pistons, have it balanced and so on.
Have a set of 0.30 over 427 pistons and rods out of another blown up engine I bought but it needs a crank.
So I can do one of three things. See if the cylinder will clean up at 0.30 over and buy a forged 427 crank, fix the 454. Or I can try to find a 4 bolt block that's good at standard bore and put the 454 innards in it. I've looked a little and 4 bolt standard blocks are scarce.
What would you do?

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
