427 h.p. questions
I just built a std bore 427 with trw 12.5:1 pistons on 3/8 dimple rods, 6223 crank , gm 840 heads sq. port closed chamber 2.19/1.88 valves, comp .638/.638 solid flat tappit cam, single plane intake, 1050 dominator, what kind of power could I possibly be making with this setup??? I will be changing the upper half to a set of 840 heads ported and 2.25/1.88 valves with a .760/.760 roller what kind of increase will this give me or is it the right combo?? thanks

Yep i built many of this engine with a stock trw speed /pro speed a PV starts getting cose in 600 lift so less fly cut now you must be very close . the 2.250 valve going to add to less piston to valve . so as Jerry said .you must add this to work on your new build. i gone to rollers mild 600s had to fly cut the pistonsIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
