Can round port headers work on oval port heads and how much performance would there be lost if any.

how big of a round port on headers ? i built them from 2inch to 2 3/8 for bigger engines there rules to the primary and how long the tube is and type of collector set up as well as mufflers ex tube size if X pipe is used all plays in to it but for a very mild bbc 1 7/8 is ok then from there every thing moves up on size . for a [] port to a O tube it takes less time to build headers as round. long as the header tube is not shutting port down your okLast edited by pat mccarthy; 11-22-2014 at 04:15 AM.
