Help with partial numbers
Hello all,
I just pulled a 66 El Camino out of a barn and starting to go thru it. Need some help with a partial casting number.
Here is the info I can read. It is a BBC with a GM 4bbl holley intake manifold. Intake is 3868648 or 3869648 and has Holley cast in . I found 3869648 which comes back to a 396/427 holley intake
Casting numbers
Drivers side rear first 3 digits are unreadable due to gunk. x's are unknown
xxx15445 also has GM P and T14 towards the center
Pass side rear is C30 82
Pass side front ledge is ccs152176 I have found a CGS prefix but not CCS
The build sheet shows engine cyls 8 option 3
Sorry I dont have the head casting #'s as they are getting checked out at the machine shop.
Thanks in advance for any possible help

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
