    Finally got my 489 built its got a 400 transmission would a 308 gear be ok for street and 1/4 mile

    If you're after an opinion, I'd say the best all around compromise between the 2 would be something between 3.25 and 3.90 but of course tire size will play into that as well.

    with 640 horses any gear will be fine .. your current 3:73`s will be ok with a 28 or 29 inch tall tire ..i run 4;10 gears with my 5 speed and rarely have to go to fifth gear .. it idles the engine so much it bucks and snorts ...
    iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?
