over my head
Hi everyone,
Well took some advice from a friend. Brought a truck engine 366. Was excited because it was a four bolt main and was thinking of building a stroker engine. I was told by a machinist that it is all torque and not much horse power. Like a lot of people I don,t have the money to waste. Any advice?

If you can get a 366 to rev above 4000 rpm, you are lucky...............not a hi perf engine . Find a 396.Home Handyman Forum

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
