It can be done. Back in my old roddin' days, there was a guy with a 38 chevy sedan BBC blown. Fit Fine. I had a 40 chevy BBC and always wanted to put a blower on it but had kids instead. Well .... actually it was my wife that had the kids, I just paid fer' um'. He He"PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

My dad has a '39 Chev coupe with a 427 in it. But I don't know if a blower would fit too with out making cuts. It might, I've never looked; but, if Pro says it'll fit, I'd believe him.Sometimes NOW are the "good old days"...

Well, I know my old man had to cut the firewall and move it back a bit to get the 427 in there; but, the fenders and hood weren't an issue. Add a blower to it, and it might require some cuts to the hood; but, like I said, I dunno. I'll ask my pop how much clearance he's got.Sometimes NOW are the "good old days"...

Come to think of it, he sub-framed it as well so that obviously impacted the chassis. Are you making any mods to the chassis?
If I remember correctly '39 was the first year of (an optional) independant front suspension for passenger cars; but, I am definitely not an expert on that. It may have been before that, like in the case of your '38. Anyway, I'm sure somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong about that.
Anyway, I'll still ask him what kind of clearance he's got on it.
Cheers,

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
