bigblock motor swap 454 to 502

Want to know if headers for a generation 6 block 454 will fit a 502? And will everything else interchange?

Yes it will accept same headers buy a couple other consideration exist. As mentioned the fuel pump boss is not there. The intake will work but leave a couple bolt boss locations un-used if also using new heads and old intake ( note that Felpro gaskets are very thin around ports and will leak around front water passage) if you are even a little unlucky. Use Victor thick gaskets for the cheap insurance. If using Hooker large diameter header tubes the 3,5 and 4 jugs have spark plug to tube problems. I mean dent the $hit out of your new headers to make clearance. If Dart Pro 1 heads used a big issue but you can make work with a little reworking. If using aluminum timing cover with an alum. waterpump you will need to replace bolts on back of pump at plate with buttonhead bolts for the extra clearance between the two.
Don't forget the extra long rocker stud nuts so that you have enough meat to lock in the valve girdles!!! or you will break stud ends like toothpicks. Scott Shafiroff installs a HOUSE GRIND roller cam in his 540 engines that is the best grind I have ever found for a street toy. I put his 540 in a cobra body I build for all C3 corvette chassis's. What a perfect TOY. 2400 pounds=about 800 horse at flywheel and handling of a Vette all in factory available pieces and cheap to build. I know a Plug for my company but all true statements. www.cobrasnvettes.com THANKS Jeff C
