305 w/ 383 crank?
I am looken to build a 305 I have sitten in my shed. Its what i have to work with right now. I haven,t really heard of too many people doin much with them. I was thinking of putting a 383 stroker crank in my 305 block to see just what I could do with it. Or should I just roll with a stock 350 crank I have layen around. Like I said its somethin I'm kicken around so any help or advice would be great. Thanxjlake000

Actually, this is more comman than you might think. Keith Black has the pistons and I think PAW offers a kit at a good price. Stock 400 cranks are relatively easy to find. Most of the racers that run 400 blocks use forged aftermarket cranks. Good motor for a truck. An Old California Rodder

Hmm, thats kind of a cool concept. Ive never heard of it being done before either. Would swapping on 327 heads help with the higher RPMS?Right engine, Wrong Wheels
