    Thermostat Housing under blower

I have a B&M street blower on my 350. I currenty have a "late model" chevy housing, which just fits, but the driver side bolt cannot be removed without pulling the whole manifold. I want to replace it! I have found several "swivel" type housing in the catalogues, but they all are too high. I only have an 1 3/4 " clearance. Does anyone know a source? It will need to be polished or chrome.

Also, what is a good electric fan control system. Any recommendations.

    Thermostat Housing

Thanks for the reply. Yea, I thought of that, but you still can't get in there with a wrench, and once the stud is in you can't get the housing out.

I have looked at most of the fan systems, I was wondering if one is better than another. Thanks again and Happy New Year

Yeah but, if you open the end of the hole up to form an open end slot ya may be able to just lossen the nut on the stud and slide the housing off & back on, may have to use a distributer wrench to get to the nut. Or 1980's model Renault Encore and the Chrys or AMC equivalent used a stat that was simply pushed into the upper hose and held in place with a hose clamp, I looked it up and it says 1.750 diameter available thru NAPA as # THM 284 for the 190 degree or #THM 184 as the 180 degree.... the bulb goes toward the engine...
