    305 or 400

I have a 85 silverado w/ a 305 and the bottom end took a shit. I also have a 400 sitting in my garage. would it be better to just rebuild the 305 than to swap it out for the 400? I use the truck as a daily driver and both engines are stock except for the exhaust.

Around here anyway 400 blocks and complete motors are hard to score. And the racers want them bad. You should be able to sell the 400 and buy a good 305 and have some money left over.

I am just thinking it might be easyer to stick with the 305. But then again I do have a complete 400 waiting to be put in something. do you think the 400 would be too much for a daily driver?

I'll give any of you 250 bucks for a complete 400 Chevy. No questions asked, hand it over. Now. Quicker!
