    gear drives

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on gear drives. I was thinking aobut putting one on my car, mostly for the sound. I was wondering how annoying do they get and are they reliable or do they break? any info would be appreciated.

gear drives are nosiy because of the degree the gears are cut they make both quiet gear drives and "noisy" ones also im my opinion they are best because they wont "stretch" like a chain will. also you do have to watch timing chain cover clearance get a spacer you will be fine. it depends on if you want a "noisy" one or a "quiet" one. i have a quiet one and it doesnt really bother me.....scooter just voicing my opinion here!
